Criterion Systems is seeking a mission-focused Senior Systems Engineer to support and contribute to our government customer’s success.

The Senior Systems Engineer must have demonstrated engineering and support experience with the software product suites working, configuring, deploying, and maintaining to the enterprise.

Responsibilities:

• Support manual and automated testing to identify software problems and their causes in an agile scrum sprint development environment.
• Ability to translate customer and systems requirements into test cases in a Linux, Windows, AWS, Java, and scripting environment.

• Build and configure programs for enterprise security continuous monitoring and cyber security incident response and management.

• Support, troubleshoot, and provide technical resolution for escalated service requests for users and customers on existing operating systems and/or application specific related issues.
• Responsible for the staging, piloting, and full deployment of releases to production within a DevOps environment for Microsoft Active Directory, Microsoft System Center Configuration Manager (SCCM), creating and editing new and existing Group Policy Objects (GPOs).
• Schedule pilot and deployment dates.
• Submit activity requests for approval to deploy.
• Work on multiple networks.
• Coordinate pilots for all appropriate platforms.
• Identify risks and deficiencies, gathering requirements, performing R&D, performing testing and quality assurance (QA), and providing releases and implementations.
• Provide recommendations for engineering solutions.​

Qualifications:

• 8-12 years of Systems Engineering experience within the IC.
• An active TS/SCI/Poly is required.
• Bachelor’s or Master’s in a technical discipline, or equivalent work related experience.
• Extensive experience in systems engineering, application deployment, and AWS, Windows and Linux operating environments.
• Familiar with working in an agile environment and skilled in some form of scripting, and possess technical problem solving and trouble shooting skills.
• Requires scripting, database query (SQL), and experience with collecting, ingesting, analyzing, visualizing machine data and dashboard creation and maintenance.
• Experience in automation tool(s) and scripting, hands on experience with test tools.
