As the PMO Program Manager you will be responsible for standing up and managing a new Project Management Office (PMO).  You are responsible for effectively delivering business results by creating a culture of accountability and consistent project & program management practices. You should have experience in leading a team and supervising a group of project managers and support staff.  The primary focus of the business is Information Technology focused on Data Center Management.


As the PMO Program manager will be expected to achieve desired business outcomes by leading complex cross-functional programs.  You must be able to effectively direct the PMO to deliver and meet program objectives and design programs to achieve them. Demonstrate leadership, partnership, and collaboration. A key element of your position will be achieving program buy-in at all levels of the organization, including senior executives.


  • Define and regularly report on program metrics and measurement.
  • Ensure all stakeholder parties are appropriately informed and aligned. Surface decision points and mis-alignment; proactively seek out and manage objections and competing perspectives.
  • Continuously monitor program exposure and ensure appropriate risk communication, escalation, and risk mitigation plans are in place.
  • Drive continuous improvement; challenge the status quo and proactively identify gaps and opportunities
  • Provide excellent communication; effectively achieve appropriate transparency and set expectations.
  • Effectively partner & present with senior executives.
  • Have deep understanding of Program and Project Management best practices and strong organizational skills
  • Develop, implement, and monitor day-to-day operational systems and processes that provide visibility into goals, progress, and obstacles for our key initiatives
  • Build and maintain relationships with all department heads to make decisions regarding operational activity and strategic goals
  • Ability to streamline and implement new structures and roles that create speed, efficiency, and support rapidly shifting business demands
  • Plan, monitor, and analyze key metrics for the day-to-day performance of the operations to ensure efficient and timely completion of tasks



  • 8+ years in a supervisory role simultaneously managing multiple projects (portfolio) in the federal government arena leading large and complex programs & projects.
  • Bachelors Degree required, Masters Degree a bonus
  • Experience in leading a remote team and successfully working remotely with little supervision.
  • Proven ability to plan and manage operational processes for maximum efficiency and productivity
  • PMP Required (ability to develop PmBok type reports as required)
  • Experience with Project Management Principles and setting up a PMO
  • Experience with Project Management as a Service
  • Excellent oral and written communications
  • Excellent MS Office Skills
  • Excellent MS Project Skills
  • Superior negotiation skills in both internal and external settings
  • Proven ability to develop innovative solutions for increased productivity
  • Experience in Estimation and Planning
  • Experience in Estimation and Planning
  • Experience in Risk Management and Risk Analysis


  • Remote work with occasional corporate office visits
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment'
