Criterion Systems is seeking a Director of Corporate Security to lead, plan, and direct enterprise-wide security functions and establish long and short-term security operations and initiatives for the organization. The Director will serve as the corporate Facility Security Officer and will be accountable for ensuring the security programs and strategies of the organization are effectively implemented and maintained with particular focus on compliance and safety of the company’s employees, facilities and operations.


The Director will be responsible for leading the Security function to ensure successful business execution on classified programs while maintaining compliance with relevant government and company policies.

  • Manage the administration and enforcement of Security Policies and Procedures (SPPs).
  • Maintain all security documentation in accordance with Defense Counterintelligence and Security Agency (DCSA) requirements.
  • Maintain compliance with federal security requirements (i.e. NISPOM) and federal and contract specific security requirements.
  • Prepare access and visit authorization requests, government site badge requests, and Common Access Card (CAC) requests.
  • Act as security advisor to executive management, operations and their respective business units in accordance with the company’s security policies and business requirements as well as interact with government security officials.
  • Administer security awareness and training programs, and self-inspections.
  • Conduct employee briefings, exit interviews, and debriefings.
  • Identify, manage, and protect company from risk, and investigate and report on security violations and incident reports.
  • Serve on the Insider Threat Working Group.
  • Maintain a positive working relationship with assigned DCSA Industrial Security and other government agency representatives
  • Review issued DD254s and prepare DD254s for subcontractors.
  • Identify and summarize customer requirements and priorities.
  • Provide the leadership essential to develop and lead security function in support of business objectives.
  • Develop and execute security best practices across the company’s classified program portfolio.
  • Provide information, guidance and instruction to employees on the completion of required security forms and documents
  • Review, process and verify facility and personnel security clearances and requests


A minimum of 8-10 years of progressively complex, relevant industrial security experience.

  • Highly motivated with good organizational skills and the ability to multi-task.
  • Professional maturity, strong leadership skills and proven experience in building/managing teams and motivating staff at all levels.
  • Good analytical and reasoning skills as well as the ability to create effective communications
  • Ability to operate independently and in a team environment to communicate effectively with technical staff, peers, management and with customers.
  • Persuasive and professional verbal and written skills with excellent interpersonal skills.
  • Proficient in using the standard MS Office programs including MS SharePoint.
  • Facility Security Officer certification through CDSE.
  • Proven experience managing security programs within DoD, IC, and SAP communities.
  • US Citizenship with an active Top Secret security clearance.
  • Comprehensive and demonstrated knowledge of NISPOM and federal industrial security requirements.
  • Proficient with the DCSA Electronic Questionnaires for Investigations Processing (e-QIP), DISS, NISS and other relevant security databases and systems.
  • Comprehensive and demonstrated knowledge of standard TS/SCI processes within the Intelligence Community (IC)
  • Occasional travel may be required but limited to a few times a year and no more than 3-5 days in duration.



  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent (Other education, commensurate experience and demonstrated ability of individual may be substituted.)



  • Industrial Security Professional (ISP) certification is a plus.
